Learn the criteria for each of our Going Digital Awards in Infrastructure categories. Each category involves forms of infrastructure stages from design, to construction, to operations.
Nominations showcasing digital advancements in infrastructure are judged by an independent panel of jurors, using criteria specific to each category.
Ponts & Tunnels
Bridges and Tunnels project nominations demonstrate digital advancements for their entire lifecycle. Nominations should focus on how projects, regardless of their size and complexity or whether they are new versus an upgrade of an existing project, have delivered improved outcomes for the organizations involved, as well as for the surrounding communities and environments of the bridge and tunnel assets.
Construction project nominations demonstrate digital advancements through using SYNCHRO solutions (SYNCHRO 4D, SYNCHRO Perform, SYNCHRO Control, and/or SYNCHRO Field) alone or in combination with other software. Nominations should be in the construction phase and/or completed and include results on current or completed construction progress. They must also include improved project results driven by SYNCHRO workflows. If using iModel connectors, discuss benefits on the process design/construction models from various sources.
Enterprise Engineering project nominations demonstrate innovation in digital collaboration, information management, information mobility, or content management through implementing digital workflows for improved outcomes. Nominations should focus on how these digital workflows increased transparency, efficiency, and collaboration, spanning the planning, design, and delivery of a single project or across a project portfolio.
Installations, Campus et Villes
Facilities, Campuses, and Cities project nominations demonstrate digital advancements in infrastructure for the entire lifecycle of commercial and residential buildings, airports, and educational and government campuses, as well as for an entire city or municipal region. Nominations should emphasize how projects, regardless of their size and complexity, have leveraged the latest digital advances to deliver improved outcomes while positively impacting the surrounding communities and environments.
Transformation et Production d'énergie
Process and Power Generation project nominations demonstrate digital innovations in the entire lifecycle of industrial process or power generation facilities. Nominations should demonstrate either an alternative approach to design that helps boost productivity; use new construction methods, innovative equipment, or materials to improve sustainability; or transform processes during operations to increase efficiency, safety, and reliability.
Réseaux ferroviaires et Transports
Rail and Transit project nominations demonstrate digital advancements across the lifecycle of rail and transit infrastructure. These innovations include alternative approaches to design that help boost productivity, the use of new construction methods to improve sustainability, or the transformation of processes during operations to deliver increased reliability. Nominations should focus on how projects, regardless of their size and complexity, have delivered improved outcomes.
Routes et Autoroutes
Roads and Highways project nominations demonstrate digital advancements in infrastructure for planning, design and engineering, construction, project delivery, and operations of roads or highways. Nominations should focus on how projects, regardless of their size and complexity, have delivered improved outcomes for the organizations involved and, in turn, for the users of these vital assets.
Structural Engineering project nominations demonstrate excellence and digital advancements in ingenuity, planning, modeling, designing, analyzing, documenting, and detailing in the delivery of high-quality structures. These structures include buildings, facilities, offshore oil and gas platforms, and wind turbine foundations. The usage of digital workflows and digital twins in these projects is highly valued.
Modélisation et analyse du sous-sol
Subsurface Modeling and Analysis project nominations demonstrate digital advancements in infrastructure for geology, geophysics, geotechnical engineering, and/or geodata and information management. Special consideration will be given to projects that showcase a positive impact on the environment, a community, or the economy, as well as reduced risk or optimized design for long-lasting performance.
Géométrage et Surveillance des actifs
Surveying and Monitoring project nominations demonstrate excellence and digital advancements in capturing assets using reality modeling, mobile mapping, instrumentation, and sensor data management. Nominations should also consider monitoring assets by turning data into actionable insights for infrastructure digital twins throughout the asset lifecycle to make informed decisions.
TRANSMISSION ET DISTRIBUTION
Transmission and Distribution project nominations demonstrate digital advancements in infrastructure for the planning, design, analysis, construction, or operations of network infrastructure. Examples include electric or gas transmission and distribution and telecommunications networks.
Gestion des eaux & des eaux usées
Water and Wastewater project nominations demonstrate digital advancements for the entire asset lifecycle of all water infrastructure. Nominations should focus on how projects have delivered improved outcomes for the organizations involved and, in turn, for the communities served by these assets.
